FRIGHTS BOOK LAUNCH and other news…
On August 7, 2019 | 0 Comments

I recently launched my fourth book FRIGHTS. It was an exciting four day event as we were part of the Murwillumbah Arts Trail. Our One Tentacle Pop-up Gallery at Carol’s Place was buzzing with visitors and we enjoyed talking about and selling books and art and meeting loads of new people. The trail for me was full of firsts, it was the first time I had been part of an art exhibition, the first time I had sold any art works and the first time I had run a workshop with kids. Needless to say I was stepping out of my comfort zone A LOT and the little Frights were with me constantly. It was a pleasure to be part of the Murwillumbah Arts Trail event and a lot of fun working with Tina Wilson from One Tentacle Publishing and Carol Robinson from Carol’s Place. Without those girls our gallery would not have been filled with so much laughter, music and crazy dancing.

I’m not sure if there will be any more moody characters published anytime soon, but from now on I will be very busy with some other works in the pipeline! Yes! There are more books from me on their way! A book I have written titled THE COLOUR OF MUSIC is in the process of being made, the incredible Matt Ottley has agreed to illustrate it and we will be composing music (mostly Matt will be doing this, I might compose a bar or two 😉 ) to go with it! I am very excited about this project, which is being published by MidnightSun Publishing. So keep your eyes peeled for more information about that release date which should be sometime early next year!

In other news I also had the pleasure of being the guest author during book week at St Brigid’s Primay School in Kyogle. I had fun and I think the kids did too? They were laughing so I suppose that’s a good sign!? I hope I inspired some budding authors and illustrators to keep writing, drawing and learning! If you would like me to visit your school please send me an email via the contact page on this website.

All books are available to purchase online, if you’d like a signed hardcover copy please order via my website, otherwise they are also available on Amazon, Booktopia and other online bookstores in both hardcover and paperback form.
